Beauty Java: COLOR IS A GIRL'S BEST FRIEND

Beauty Java: COLOR IS A GIRL'S BEST FRIEND

COLOR IS A GIRL'S BEST FRIEND

OBSESSIONS
Color abounds as Spring fills the air.  Be admired and adored with color!
Michelle Williams and Sofia Vergara know how to make an impact using their color picks. We adore Michelle Williams in her pink Dior gown with matching red nails and lips. We admire Sofia as she steals the spotlight in coral lips and dress. Who says you can't match your makeup with your clothes for a hot fashion look. Try these flavorful  reds, pinks, corals to stir up attention. Make them your own and be the toast if the season!

WHAT'S BREWIN' IN BEAUTY?
Concealers; Oil vs. Oil Free
If your cup runeth over and you wake up with dark circles or stress acne - get concealer! For breakouts use oil free concealer like Jane No Show, Laura Mercier Secret Camoflage, or Makeup Forever. For red patchy skin use Dermablend Smooth Indulgences for Redness. For dry skin use oil inclusive  such as MAC Select Moisture Cover or Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Set.
I have two bff concealers. For my dry, sensitive under eye area I use Maybelline Cover Stick -  a tried and true classic.  It’s waterproof for those allergy days. For acne and other imperfections, I use Ben Nye Concealer Wheel available online or specialty beauty stores. Your best bet is to tailor your concealer to your skin type.  Make sure you have your preference before you shop online or visit the makeup counter, so you purchase what’s best for you!

SIP ON THIS
Swollen Eyes - Fast Cure
For those uh-oh moments when you find yourself with swollen eyes, try my
3X3 rule. Use any one of the 3 home remedies over eye lids for 3 minutes.
Cold cucumber, or cool ‘n starchy pototo, or caffeine tea bag.

Makeup tip for swollen eyes: Use a natural, skin color matte shadow in vanilla, linen, or ivory over top lid. Line and define bottom lid with brown or gray liner, and or use brown shadow on the outer corner lid. Draw away from eye to define and create depth. Upper eye lid will have neutral matte shadow only. Play up the look with a hair adornment or a pop of color on lips to draw attention away from your eyes. No one will know you woke up with swollen eyes and you’ll have a fabulous runway look!

Personal Message & the Power of Beauty

Hi Makeup Mavens!
Thank you for visiting Beauty Java. I am a huge fan of makeup and the little lipstick that could! As an on-the-go-professional, I became an avid cosmetics consumer and spa treatment seeker early on. I've been around beauty professionals and the beauty industry my entire life.  I enjoy and appreciate a beautiful cosmetics display counter.

Like you, I am a frequent cosmetics shopper at Sephora, Ulta, Fred Segal Beauty, NLuk, Target, QVC, t.v. info-mercials, various e-tailers, and countless beauty salons and upscale spas. I say YES to feeling pretty and looking polished. I think it’s okay to get inspired by a little lip or face color. Today it’s smart to be makeup savvy and fashionable whatever you do in life.  Looking great and taking care of yourself never goes out of style, whether you work 9-5, are an on-the-go mom, a student, starting over, or just starting out.

Ridden with glee:
I can remember the feeling I had with my first beauty item.  I still get happy when I purchase makeup, a new piece of clothing, read a fashion magazine, or get a pedi. At age 4, Santa Claus brought my first pot gloss ring, and a doll with a beehive.  The gloss ended up on most of my face, and my hair was poofed up high to mimic my doll.  I was blissfully happy and ridden with glee. I was so smitten with my new look I skipped directly into the Christmas tree. So my first “uh-oh”  moment and realization of the power of a lipstick” came simultaneously. And so the story evolves.

Mission:
We gals know a little lipstick can make a huge difference in how we feel and look.
Beauty and well being can enrich your life, no matter where you are in your journey.  And YES you can be taken seriously while being fashionable and “made up” with makeup. Here at Beauty Java we can offer and share result-oriented and relatable tips. Tell us your pretty pout “uh oh” moments, beauty joys, insight, faves, and revelations.
Together we will unfold the power of a lipstick.

Now it’s time to sip your favorite java and share ideas and products that help you look and feel better . You’ll find fun and quick, economy friendly tips and inspirations and reminders to keep you the best you!

Welcome to Beauty Java, your online beauty lounge. I’m not a makeup pro, just pro makeup! My friends and I consider ourselves makeup fans, enthusiasts, “makeup mavens” if you will. As an avid consumer, I’ve all tried a variety of  beauty salons, spa treatments, and cosmetics from every cost range to any brand name. If you have too, here’s a beauty corner to share makeup tips, inspirations, thoughts, discoveries, and disasters (“uh-oh” moments). It’s time for coffee talk….about beauty!
